Milling and Drying
Starting with milling and drying, the journey begins. From tree to table is a lengthy but rewarding process. Hidden in each piece of milled lumber is a creative adventure.
Stacked, drying and waiting
Fresh-cut slabs need months in the kiln or air-drying stack before they're stable enough to work with. We bring in salvaged hardwoods from the Susquehanna river valley and let them dry to spec before they go anywhere near a tool.
Crafted by hand
Each piece is hand-shaped, hand-sanded, and hand-finished. We pick the slab to fit the space, mark the live edges, and route the channels for epoxy pours one piece at a time.
Steel to legs, wood to table top, epoxy to art.
Every finished piece passes through three trades. Welders cut and finish the steel bases, carpenters mill and sand the slab, and the epoxy pours happen last — filling natural voids in the wood with color, glitter, or water-style accents that catch the light.
